Check your organization's rules first

Donation drives and pledge events depend on your organization's rules. Scouting America units are never permitted to solicit contributions for unit programs, and Girl Scout troops may not directly solicit money, so check before you plan one.

How it works for a troop or pack

1. Get approval. Scouting America units submit the Unit Money-Earning Application to the council at least two weeks before committing to a project. Girl Scout troops follow their council's approval steps.

2. Create the event or product. Set ticket prices for the banquet or breakfast, or add products with an optional inventory limit. The store marks a product sold out when the limit is reached. Owners and admins can manage products and inventory from Products on the organization page.

3. Share the link. Families and neighbors buy from their own phones, so scouts never handle the money. Payments go straight to the unit's own Stripe account.

4. Check in and close out. Scan each ticket's QR code at the door, then review the attendee list and store orders with the treasurer.

For banquets, breakfasts, and product sales

Banquet tickets

Sell seats for the Blue and Gold banquet or a pancake breakfast. Each ticket carries its own QR code.

Door check-in

Volunteers scan tickets at the door from a phone, and a ticket that was already scanned is flagged.

Product orders

Take wreath, mulch, or troop T-shirt orders with sizes and an optional inventory limit, so the unit never promises more than it can deliver.

Family email

Send event reminders, camp updates, and thank-yous to troop families from your mailing lists.

What the unit pays

ScanRaise keeps a 2.5% platform fee from each ticket or order. Stripe processing is separate, and there is no setup or monthly fee.
