What you can run

Step challenge to charity donation. Employees use the step counter in their phone browser as the primary path. Participants can optionally connect Fitbit, select a day, review that day's daily summary of steps, distance, and active minutes, and choose whether to import it. The company pledges per step. A live leaderboard tracks team progress.
Neighborhood scavenger hunt. Set checkpoints around town. Employees follow clues and check in with the proof selected for each stop: phone location or a posted secret code. Accepted stops earn points for the team.
Team vs team competition. Engineering vs Sales vs Marketing. Each team's submitted miles or steps are tracked. Phone-browser GPS records distance, and the phone-browser counter records steps.
Personal cause campaigns. The CEO's wife beat cancer. Now the whole company walks for the American Cancer Society. Every employee's miles are tracked. The company matches with a flat donation based on collective achievement.

How it works

Company creates a campaign on ScanRaise. Picks the unit (miles, steps, laps) and the charity.
Employees join via a link. GPS and the step counter in their phone browser are the primary paths. When compatible with the campaign unit, they can optionally connect Fitbit, select a day, review its daily summary, and choose to import it. No ScanRaise app is needed for browser tracking. Optional Fitbit imports require a Fitbit account and app.
Activity uses proof that fits the format. GPS activity uses server-side speed and path validation; scavenger stops use organizer-selected phone location or a secret code.
The leaderboard updates when participants submit results from the browser tracker or complete a participant-reviewed Fitbit daily-summary import.
Campaign ends. Total activity calculated. Company donates based on the verified total. Everyone knows exactly what they contributed.
