How a canvass-a-thon works on ScanRaise

You draw turfs. Draw a map area for each ward, precinct, or zip code cluster.

You assign canvassers. Each volunteer gets a route with notes and a personal QR code on a printed card.

They walk and log. The volunteer opens the canvass page on their phone, records the walk with GPS, and submits user-reported door outcomes: Conversation, Knocked, No Answer, Refused, or Do Not Contact.

Voters scan and give. The QR code opens a donation page tied to that canvasser. With connected Stripe, funds settle to the committee. In ScanRaise collection, ScanRaise collects funds and sends a monthly payout.

Pricing

ScanRaise charges a 2.5% platform fee on donations, and Stripe processing is separate. The canvass-a-thon tools (turfs, routes, GPS walks, and voter file import) come with the Plus plan at $99 a month and the Pro plan at $299 a month. A note on canvasser privacy and FEC

GPS tracking is opt-in. Volunteers see a consent screen the first time they open the canvass page, and tracking only runs while the page is open. Door logs capture the location and outcome but never voter identity. Donation data exports as CSV for FEC reporting (donor name, address, employer, occupation when over $200, when FEC mode is on for the campaign). ScanRaise is a technology platform, not a campaign finance advisor, so confirm contribution limits and compliance requirements with your campaign finance attorney.
