VFW posts, American Legion posts, and other veterans groups use ScanRaise to add QR codes to poppy drives, breakfasts, and memorial events. Each volunteer can carry a card with their own code, and every gift is tracked by volunteer and campaign.

Running a poppy drive

1. Set up the drive. The commander or quartermaster creates the campaign online and sets the goal. Donations go straight to the post's own Stripe account.

2. Print cards and a table sign. Add each volunteer and print their QR cards. Set a sign with the campaign's QR code on the poppy table next to the can.

3. Take cash and phones. Cash still goes in the can. A shopper without cash scans a volunteer's card, and the gift is recorded under that volunteer. Someone who would rather give later can keep the card and scan it at home.

4. Close the books. The quartermaster sees online gifts by volunteer and exports them as a CSV for the post's records.

For post events and members

Breakfast and steak fry tickets

Sell tickets to the pancake breakfast or the steak fry, and scan each ticket's QR code at the door.

Donor records

Donors from every drive land in one list with tags and notes, ready for the next appeal.

Send event invites and thank-yous to member and supporter mailing lists.

Memorial ruck marches

Sponsors pledge per mile, and marchers log the route with GPS in the phone browser. ScanRaise flags suspicious entries so you can check them before any sponsor is charged.

Cost

ScanRaise keeps 2.5% of each donation, and Stripe charges its own card-processing fee. There is no setup or monthly fee.
