What's built in
Sizes + inventory tracking. Each product has a sizes array (S/M/L/XL/2XL or shoe sizes or whatever). Inventory cap optional; product flips to soldout when sold-count hits the cap. Concurrent buyers can't oversell (atomic decrement under row lock).
Numbered editions. Set inventory_mode to numbered_edition + an edition_size. Each order auto-assigns the next sequential edition_number (1 / 25, 2 / 25, 3 / 25, ...). Buyer's receipt shows their specific edition number. Listing flips to soldout when sold_count == edition_size.
Up to 12 product photos. Front, back, detail, modeled. Same multi-image system as auctions and P2P pages.
Shipping address + Stripe Tax. Buyer enters shipping address at checkout. Stripe Tax computes sales tax based on the buyer's state (six US states have art-specific exemptions; Stripe Tax handles them).
Commission split for galleries. Set consignment_split_pct on a product (50% gallery / 50% artist is the standard). On checkout completion, ScanRaise issues a Stripe Transfer to the artist's connected account for their share. The gallery keeps the rest. Reconciliation auto-logged.
Storefront formats that work
School spirit wear. T-shirts, hoodies, hats, water bottles. 6 sizes per shirt. Bulk inventory. Order pickup at the school office or mail-out via Stripe Tax for out-of-state alums.
Numbered-edition art prints. "Edition of 50, signed by the artist." Each buyer gets a sequential edition number printed on the receipt. The artist signs/numbers each piece manually before shipping.
Signed memorabilia. Single-quantity items: a signed jersey, a one-of-a-kind painting, a signed yearbook. Inventory: 1, sold-count flips to 1 immediately.
Cause-themed merch with consignment artist. Local artist designs a charity tee. Each shirt sale routes 30% to the artist via commission split. Org keeps the rest minus 2.5% platform fee.
