# ScanRaise

> QR code fundraising platform for schools, PTAs, youth sports teams, churches, and nonprofits. Donors scan a QR code and give from their phone, with no ScanRaise app or donor account. ScanRaise never holds the money in connected Stripe mode. In platform mode, ScanRaise collects donations and pays approved organizations monthly. Standard fundraising has a flat 2.5% platform fee per donation, with no setup fees, monthly fees, or contracts.

- In connected mode, organizations connect their own Stripe account and money follows Stripe's payout schedule; ScanRaise does not hold or disburse those funds. In platform mode, ScanRaise collects donations and pays approved organizations monthly by check or ACH.
- Donors never need an app or an account. They scan the QR code, pick an amount, and pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or any major card.
- Built-in athon support: phone browser GPS distance tracking and phone step counting are the primary paths, with organizer-reviewed results and per-unit pledges (per lap, per page, per mile). Participants can optionally connect Fitbit, select a day, review the daily summary of steps, distance, and active minutes, and choose whether to import it.
- K-12 ready: listed in the SDPC resource registry, with parental-consent and student-data controls designed to support schools' COPPA and FERPA obligations, plus Clever and ClassLink single sign-on for teachers.
- Fundraisers can use printable per-person QR cards, a live leaderboard display page, and text-to-give to request donation links by SMS.
- Political campaigns are the one exception to flat pricing: they pay an additional per-campaign monthly subscription ($99 Plus, $299 Pro with FEC reportable mode) on top of the 2.5% donation fee.
